Version 1.9.0 is out. This version add a lot of localization feature.
The app now includes German, Russian, Chinese, and Italian localization. Thanks for all the translator that spare their time to do the translation. If you found any bugs on the localization, please let me know.
Also all date/time will be displayed according to format defined for your current locale. More new features are coming soon!

idea for app
I love this app and have used it since I gotten my g1 which is almost a year ago.
One thing I hope you could add is folders. An example being I write 6 notes and want to stick them in 1 folder, that one click on the folder opens all 6 notes. But having this done in the app its self .
Maybe 1 day this could be done, love the work and thanks for a great and simple app that what's needed

You can do this with labels.
You just need to have hash tag inside your note. You can have one or more tags.
Example:
#shopping #list :
- apple
- egg
The above note will be listed under shopping and list.
Text size change on smaller font setting.

First? Love the program. You are THE reason I love my G1, so, thank you.
The latest update is gonna give me eyestrain though :) The small font size is now smaller then it used to be, and thus quite difficult to read.
Any hope of having it swapped back to the previous size? Or a new choice added that's between the small and medium sizes?
AK Notepad missing after upgrading to 1.9.0
I installed AK Notepad some time ago on my HTC Magic running Android 1.5. I have just updated to 1.9.0 from the Market. But when I launched the application after the upgrade, I got an error saying that the application was not installed on the phone (but its icon was present as usual together with the other applications).
I fixed the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling AK Notepad from the Market. I had no notes, so I didn't lose any.

just a small suggestion, is it possible to have home screen notes shortcut opens 'edit' mode instead of view 'mode'?
this way editing from home screen only requires 1 click instead of 3 (shortcut - menu - edit).
